City of Hollywood and the Hollywood CRA.

OBJECTIVE

To create a cultural experience, celebrating Caribbean American Heritage Month, attracting an audience to downtown Hollywood.

LOCATION

The newly restored Hollywood Arts Park.

STRATEGY

Aifos Agency, created the Colors of the Caribbean experience. The event would feature Caribbean entertainment, cuisine, arts & craft, cultural performances and kids activities in an attempt to attract those interested in everything Caribbean.

RESULTS

The event was introduced into the community in 2012, and saw over 5,000 attendees. The following year, in 2013 attendance almost doubled to 8,000 and maintained its attendance in 2014.
